Well, I still have a hacking cough and an awful headache, but I just felt like getting into my crafting area might help take my mind off this awful chest cold. With that said, this image has been sitting in my box of stamped images for quite awhile now. I finally decided to color it and use it for today's card. My typical start to creating a card is to choose an image and then some pattern paper. After choosing colors from the pattern paper, I then color the image. Once that step is done, I go looking for a sketch....and today's sketch design is from Amy Rysavy's Blog: Prairie Paper and Ink. Amy's Blog is full of fantastic inspiration and some totally awesome video tutorials....Go check it out by clicking on the following link: http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/amyr/
Every Friday Amy posts a sketch challenge along with a sample for the sketch. The Sketch I chose for today's card is AMYRS5 and can be viewed by clicking on the following link:
After clicking the above link, you will find 3 different pictures posted...the sketch I used is the second picture in the post. It is one of her earlier sketch challenges but I thought it would work with my image and the paper I wanted to use for the card. While my card isn't 'exactly' like Amy's sketch (I didn't round the corners of my 1st layer), it is very close.
