OK....I grabbed up a little free time yesterday... between church services and before bedtime... and managed to get a card completely done! For me, that is a BIG DEAL because I am truly SLOWER Than MOLASSES when it comes to crafting projects. And, not only did I get the card completed, but I actually LIKE the end results, LOL!
The image was a FREE Digital Image from Victoria Case. With digital images, you are able to 'flip' the images and that is exactly what I decided to do for this card...so that the outside and inside images are reversed. I tried to color these images as exactly the same as I could and let me tell you, this is NOT easy to accomplish, but I think I got them pretty close to the same....atleast close enough to satisfy myself.
For the details, the outside image is printed twice onto Gina K Pure Luxury C/S 80# and colored using Copic Markers. After coloring the flowers on a second image, I cut them out, added a Yellow (Making Memories) Shimmer Brad and a large Pink circular rhinestone (EK Success), and then attached it to the matching portion of the main image using EK Success 3D dimensionals. I also wanted the face of the little bug to have just a little dimension also, and so I used my second image again....coloring, cutting out, and adding it to the main image using a glue dot....this gave me just enough dimension to give the look of the bug resting his little head on the girls arm (after all, this is a 'sick' little bug who needs a little extra care and love). For interest, I've used a Martha Stewart Flower Border Punch on the pattern layer and I've added a blue twill ribbon to the base card as well as the main image layer.
I've added sparkle to my main image using Diamond Stickles and Crystal Effects on the wings, and coloring over some portions of the image with Copic Spica Glitter Pens.
Using a Copic 0.3 Multiliner black Pen I added a little 'doodling' to the left side of the image and then wrote the sentiment around the lower right portion of the flowers -- freehand style.
The inside sentiment is computer generated. The main image is colored with Copic Markers with similar style to outside view. I added the little dots to the inside edge using my Copic Multiliner Pen.
I think that is about it, hope you enjoy this little card!
